These changes can range from mild to severe precancerous conditions. If you have had an abnormal PAP smear test or notice changes to the skin or mucous membrane, we recommend that you make an appointment for a dysplasia consultation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>What happens during the consultation<\/h4>\n<p>During the consultation, we will perform a thorough gynaecological examination using a colposcope (a special magnifying glass) to closely examine the skin and mucous membranes. If necessary, we will take tissue samples to be analysed in the pathology laboratory.
